As general manager of IBM's global healthcare and life sciences business, Dan Pelino works closely with public and private healthcare providers and payers, biotech and pharmaceutical companies, and medical device and instrument companies worldwide to create smarter, better-connected healthcare systems. A recognized expert in healthcare IT, he has helped countries and states transform and digitize their healthcare systems.
Dan serves on the Executive Committee for the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative (PCPCC) and on the Board of Directors of the Healthcare Executive Network (HEN).
Sean Hogan is Vice President and global leader of IBM Healthcare Delivery Systems and in this capacity is responsible for leading all aspects of IBM's healthcare business including strategic direction, investment decisions and operations. Mr. Hogan's organization leads the development of IBM's Healthcare Industry Solutions, Business Partnerships and Alliances and growth and investments initiatives.
Throughout his professional career, Mr. Hogan has focused on business strategy, innovation and growth - particularly growth that is predicated on business model transformation and advanced technology. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Hogan held several executive responsibilities within IBM's Healthcare & Life Sciences business. Prior to joining IBM's Health Care and Life Sciences business, Mr. Hogan was Director, IBM Emerging Business Opportunity group in IBM Corporate Strategy which focused on creation and launch of new growth businesses for IBM.
Prior to joining IBM, Mr. Hogan held leadership positions in several strategy consulting and successful start-up organizations, including Mainspring, Renaissance Worldwide and Booz Allen Hamilton.
Mr. Hogan earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his Engineering and undergraduate degrees from Dartmouth College/Thayer School of Engineering. Sean and his wife Jana live in Ridgefield, CT with their three children, Matthew, Jared and Kate.
Mohammad Naraghi (MD, PhD) is the Global Leader for both the Healthcare and Life Sciences Industries for IBM Global Business Services. In this capacity, he is in charge of developing the vision, strategy and global business in Healthcare and Life Sciences by building and expanding IBM’s offerings and relationships with the clients.
He has rich experience in the Healthcare and Life Sciences industries for 20 years, ranging from clinical practice in cardiology and biomedical R&D work at leading edge institutions in Europe and USA to executive leadership positions in world-renowned international corporations, such as Siemens AG and McKinsey & Company.
He studied Medicine and Mathematics in Germany and Austria. After clinical work in cardiology, he moved to California Institute of Technology for graduate studies in Computation and Neural Systems. Returning back to Germany, he finished his PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the Max-Planck-Institute. He then joined McKinsey & Company to consult global Healthcare and Life Sciences clients and moved on to Siemens Healthcare. Harry Reynolds is currently the Director of Health Industry Transformation for IBM Global Healthcare & Life Sciences Industry. Since joining IBM in early 2010, Harry works with providers, payers and governments on health policy transformation and strategy.
Harry served as both Chair on the National Committee for Vital Health Statistics (NCVHS) and Chair on the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) CORE Initiative. He currently is on the board of the North Carolina Healthcare Quality Alliance.
Harry has 43 years of experience in the healthcare and technology industry.
He started his career with IBM, worked at two large teaching hospitals (Ohio State and UNC), and was a Vice President at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. During his 32 years at BCBSNC, Harry managed areas such as membership, claims, customer service, large corporate projects and all IT.
