Scott was named General Manager, Global Telecommunications Industry in March 2009 and has responsibility for the telecommunications industry across the corporation. One of Scott’s key priorities includes helping IBM’s telecommunications industry clients achieve success within a converging ecosystem of telecommunications, media and entertainment, IT and consumer electronics industries. This ecosystem, built on open, standards-based frameworks, technologies and end-to-end business processes, can improve IBM telecommunications clients’ ability to deliver sustainable value in this evolving ecosystem. In his prior position Scott was the Vice President Sector Sales in South-West Europe, where he drove client management, value creation, and industry solution development. Scott has held several global leadership positions including: General Manager Wireless, responsible for IBM’s mobility initiatives worldwide and Vice President Global Telecommunications Industry. Scott is a member of the TM Forum Board of Directors.
Bob is the Global Industry Leader - Telecommunications for IBM Global Business Services. He was formerly with Oliver Wyman (f/k/a Mercer Management Consulting), a leading global management consulting firm. During his 30-year career at Oliver Wyman, Bob had a number of leadership roles, including the head of North America, Chief Operating Officer and head of the global Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) business unit. Bob’s client work during his consulting career focused on helping firms develop and implement profitable growth strategies in the convergence of communications, information, and entertainment services. He has worked for most of the major service providers in North America and for many of the global telecom companies in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia, across their traditional and emerging business segments: wire line (local and long distance); wireless (cellular, PCS, and satellite); information services; entertainment; and multimedia.
Bob has been quoted extensively in general business press, including USA Today, The Boston Globe, Business Week, Fortune, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Investors Business Daily, and various industry publications; and has been a speaker at industry conferences and events. He has also been a guest lecturer at Boston University School of Management and Brandeis University International Business School on the topics of global telecom evolution and international management trends.
Bob received a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Williams College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He holds an M.B.A. (with distinction) from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. He is on the President’s Council of Accion, one of the oldest microfinance non-profits in the world.
Anthony Behan has spent almost 20 years in IT and telecoms software and solutions. Having started his career in financial systems in the early 1990's, he moved to telecom billing systems and ultimately into next generation telecommunications business management with Am-Beo, a company he founded and ultimately sold.
He has held roles in engineering, consulting, corporate, sales and marketing through his career. As Vice President, Market Development and a member of the board of directors, he helped to address financial service modeling, settlement and charging issues for companies including Sonera and Western Wireless before facilitating the sale of the company in 2005. As Strategic Marketing Director with Vallent, Anthony worked closely with AT&T and Telefonica in developing solutions that have smoothed their operations and processes through service quality management, and the implementation of service level agreements.
As a global solutions leader with IBM following its acquisition of Vallent, Anthony has developed and led the solutions strategy for BSS, OSS, and more recently Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions for the telecommunications market.
David Mangini is the Global Solution Owner for Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS) in IBM's Telecommunications Industry Group. The focus of this role is to lead IBM's strategy for solutions in the marketplace in response to Service Provider requirements and IBM's capabilities. David's responsibility includes the overall strategy, planning, development, marketing, and sales planning for IBM'sOSSand BSS solution offerings. Along with determining the solution strategy, he also manages the complete life cycle of the solutions and sets the go-to-market strategy.
David is a 25 year veteran of telecommunications and has extensive experience with wireline and wireless service providers, including AT&T. His experience includes all aspects of network planning, design, construction and operations as well as active involvement with CTIA. He has held positions within Network organizations that include Vice President - Network Engineering, and Vice President - Network Services and Operations. David also led a variety of wireless data initiatives in developing custom wireless data solutions for large enterprises, and Service Delivery Platforms.
David holds a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Mr. Van Hercke has over 25 years of global business and solution development experience and is currently responsible for the cloud and service innovation solution portfolio at IBM. He has an extensive background in business development, strategic alliances, mergers & acquisitions and channel development. He has an accomplished track record of managing rapidly growing global business units. Prior roles within IBM have included: Global Alliance & Acquisition Executive - IBM Global Technology Services, Business Development Executive - IBM Digital Media, and Principal - IBM Consulting Group.
Prior to IBM, Mr. Van Hercke was a Manager at Deloitte & Touche, and has a life-long history of small business investment and entrepreneurship. Mr. Van Hercke has notable skills in: business strategy, solution development, business case development, capital formation and complex deal negotiation. He holds a US Patent in Dynamic Ecosystem Development. He has a broad range of industry experience with particular emphasis in: communications, media and entertainment, consumer electronics, and small and emerging business. He graduated from theUniversityofColoradowith Degrees in: Finance, Political Science and Film Production.
Steven Teitzel is a Global Solution Executive at IBM for Smarter Networks solution domain within IBM’s Global Telecommunications Industry applying leading edge innovation to the relentlessly evolving world of service provider networks. In Smarter Networks applies analytics and IBM smarter planet thinking to the service provider network operations and infrastructure to take out cost and drive monetization of the network. Steven leads a cross IBM team developing solutions for the Telecommunications Industry. He utilizes his broad experience to bring together technology and service capabilities as well as market and business planning to drive solution strategy, development, and deployment to create client value and meet business requirements. Steve is formerly a Director and Services Executive for IBM Global Services for Next Generation Networks and Intelligent Utility Networks. He has been with IBM for 30 years as a Managing Principal, principal/practice leader, consultant and architect within IBM Global Services for IT Strategy, Networking and Service Management.
