Understanding & Unlocking the Potential of Innovation/Entrepreneurship/Intrapreneurship

Complimentary Live Webinar
Thursday, February 28, 2013

1:00 p.m. (EST)

We frequently use the buzzwords “entrepreneurship” and “innovation,” but what exactly do they mean? How can innovation-driven entrepreneurship be cultivated—and can it really be taught or improved?

Join MIT Senior Lecturer and serial entrepreneur Bill Aulet for a complimentary, interactive webinar on February 28th to better understand and explore successful examples of entrepreneurship and innovation in the global marketplace. This webinar is also an opportunity to hear the latest trends in the marketplace and academia, as well as Aulet’s thoughts on them.

Participants will learn:

  • The state of entrepreneurship in key industries, like energy and IT
  • Current trends that drive innovation
  • Systematic approaches to launching new ventures
  • Taxonomies of innovation, entrepreneurship, and intrapreneurship
  • What makes MIT the world’s #1 hotbed of successful start-ups

Who should attend:

  • Aspiring entrepreneurs
  • Corporate venture officers
  • Heads of innovation and enterprise
  • Executives and senior managers seeking to strengthen a climate of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship within their corporations

Following the webinar, the conversation will continue on Facebook for an additional hour, giving participants an opportunity to pose questions directly to Aulet on the MIT Sloan Executive Education wall.

Bill Aulet is a Senior Lecturer and Managing Director in the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship at the MIT Sloan School of Management and Chairman of the MIT Clean Energy Prize. A highly accomplished business leader and serial entrepreneur, Aulet consults with individuals and corporations around the world seeking to achieve their goals through entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, and innovation.

Learn more about Aulet’s new four-day course, Energy Innovation: MIT's Approach to Discovering and Realizing Energy Opportunities, at MIT Sloan Executive Education. Upcoming session: May 5–9, 2013.

Participants are encouraged to call in a few minutes prior to the 1:00 p.m. ET airtime. Including the question and answer period, total time commitment will be approximately one hour. Following the webinar, Bill Aulet will continue to take questions for an additional hour on the MIT Sloan Executive Education Facebook page.
